The Birth Experience You Want

Keeping you and your baby safe and healthy is our top priority. Your Women’s Care of Western Pennsylvania obstetrician also wants your labor and delivery to be special. Your doctor will partner with you to make sure your wishes are understood before it’s time to deliver your baby.

• You can choose to have your family and/or a doula to support you during normal labor and delivery. A doula is a professional who is trained to provide non-medical support during the childbirth process.
  
  
• For your comfort, there is a whirlpool available for you to use during labor. Dr. Ott, Dr. Sholtis, and Dr. Duckett also offer epidural pain management. They will discuss this option and all the other details about your delivery with you in advance, so you can feel comfortable and confident when it’s time to bring your baby into the world.
